Bike of the day: Husqvarna Nuda 900

Why it’s MCN’s pick:

With Husqvarna’s new range of street bikes built under KTM’s ownership now arriving in dealers, MCN thought it would be a good time to look back at when this Swedish company that became Italian was (briefly) owned by the Germans…

BMW owned Husky for a total of five years and produced a few street bikes built using slightly modified BMW motors – the most exciting of which was the Nuda.

Powered by a big-bore 898cc version of the F800 parallel twin engine, the Nuda was released in 2011 and came in two forms – standard and high-spec R – with the R gaining Brembo brakes, an Öhlins shock and sportier gearing.

As a characterful naked bike, the Nuda is a riot to ride, looks cool and has a hint of the supermoto about it. The tank is annoyingly small at 13-litres, but it’s still well worth checking out as it’s something a bit out of the ordinary.

Seller says:

“A very nice condition Nuda R with ABS. These bikes came with an Öhlins shock and Brembo brakes as standard and this bike also has crash bungs and a tail tidy.”
