The FLC Group held a launch ceremony for the FLC Quang Binh Beach Golf Resort project on April 15.
Straddling Quang Ninh and Le Thuy districts in central Quang Binh province, the project has total investment capital of VND20 trillion ($888.8 million).
Covering an area of 2,000 ha, the resort is the largest tourism project in the central region to date, with a golf course and a resort complex with the longest beach in Vietnam, the 5-km Hai Ninh Beach, and the first night zoo in the country.
Mr. Tran Quang Huy, General Director of the FLC Group, told the launch ceremony that Quang Binh is the key investment destination for the Group in 2018. “We believe that the birth of FLC Quang Binh will contribute to the central region having a new face,” he said.
After completion and opening, expected in 2020, the project will create jobs for local people and promote economic development, especially in the field of services and tourism, with Quang Binh becoming one of the most attractive destinations in Southeast Asia.
Along with the launch ceremony, a series of other events, from image promotions to the opening of a representative office in the provincial capital of Dong Hoi on April 15 also took place.
A travelling roadshow with the message “A new source of life” was held along key roads in Dong Hoi on April 14.
Quang Binh has substantial potential for tourism development, as in addition to its coastline and historical, ecological, and spiritual tourism, it is also endowed with a unique feature: caves.
With more than 300 caves of different sizes, such as Son Doong, Phong Nha, Heaven, Tien Son, En and Dark, Quang Binh has been dubbed “The Kingdom of Caves”.
